I think Davide Pedersoli made two different twist with the Missouri river Hawkins: 1:48 for the .45 and 1:24 for the .50 (but I could be wrong).

With a twist like that it will make an excellent bullet gun.
A paper patched bullet would lay them in one on top of the other, even at longer ranges.
With a peep sight you could effectively hit way out to two hundred yards.
Production guns with barrels like that are VERY uncommon.
