Just looked at Davis's website, it appears to be almost the same to depict a conversion. Here is a picture showing their options.

The lock has a very wide drum support on it that looks somewhat like a flintlock pan.
This isn't totally unusual and it does provide excellent support for the drum. In fact, because the nipple on the drum is located out away from the barrel, that extra support that's in line with the nipple can be a good thing.
