Davis lock

I took my smooth bore out to the range today and when I got home and started to clean it up I was cleaning the lock and it looks to me like the frizzen has two small cracks right down near the bottom. have any of you guys had this problem. I`M going to call davis after christmas and see what they say.

Are they cracks or just casting marks or flaws? I did have one lock of theirs that the fly had cracked, they sent me a new one in a few days. I have yet to have any problems with the frizzens.

they are cracks as far as I can tell. I ran my thumb nail over them and I can feel them real well

Yep sounds like cracks, they have been good to me, you shouldn't have any problems with getting a replacement.
