I have one of the brass molds that I got second hand. The previous owner had drilled the handle and added wooden extension handles to it. It throws one round ball and one conical and actually makes decent bullets. With the wooden handles it is just as easy to use as a modern mold.

I have a couple other old style molds too but rarely use them. The all brass one is simply too hot for any serious use without modifying it. The other has small wooden handles and can be used with gloves without too much discomfort but since it is the same size as the modified one it just stays in the pistol case and looks nice!

Pick up an original mould, they have pretty good sprue cutters behind the mould. usually we can find them in antique, junque shops, gunshows or T Barlow.

Bryon, Give Many Klatch's suggestion a try, you might get double duty (where you lost your keys). :rotf:
