Thanks Carl i live half a world away ,i was planing on using my awaning to make a shelter, your photo is very helpfull.

These are front and side view shots of the Queen Ann Tarp Tent that I made from a painters tarp. Can be set up with just a door pole or with the ridge pole and door pole as shown in the photos. I sometimes also set up a fly out front as shown if I'm staying for a spell.

Thankyou stomper, your camp set up is good,i will most likely set up 2 diamond shelters sort of half facing each other ,one to sleep in & the other to store gear in. :hatsoff:

For just one or two nights I lay my bed roll out on half of a 7X7 waterproof canvas. I then cover my bed-roll with the other half of the canvas. I make myself a burrito inside the canvas.

Canvas Lean-to http://www.montanafreetrappers.net/3.html

The last Canvas Lean-to at the bottom of this page is what I would use for 1 or 2 days. This guy “Got caught up on casting some round balls,”

This Canvas Lean-to photo on the top right is one I like. I use marbles to make a tie-off rope.
