In the Hawken rifle days of the 1830's to the 1850's , did all Hawken brother rifles come with double set triggers ? Were there single trigger models produced or were they more of an option upon request ? Just curious , thanks.
I don't recall seeing a mountain rifle without a set trigger, but I can think of at least 3 have single (not set) triggers. To add to the sacrilege, two are even mounted in brass. The general speculation on these is that they were made to a price point, for the local market.
Minds eye stuff, i think I saw some of their small bore Ohio style guns with dainty locks and single triggers.
But
May have those confused with their shot guns.
