Yup SSS.nuff said .
I agree with the concept, however, no dead man ever buried himself.

Seriously, in this county there have been multiple finds of scattered human bones. Some are later identified by dental records or IIRC DNA, but most are unsolved. Parts of one body were found on the embankment of a heavily traveled main highway, just out of sight over the edge of the berm. Eaten by animals, the remaining bones were eventually identified as a young woman missing for 2 years - it's a cold case now.

Waiting for "rest of the story". You know, his weapon, caliber, what they were carrying, etc.

Never underestimate us "old" folks - particularly older BP shooters!
As someone else observed, fired inside a house, ours sound-& look- like cannons. Most look like sewer pipes from the business end.
Want to find the other 2?; follow the **** stains.

Not sure about now, but VT used to be gun rational - outside the cities. NH, even more so. Careful how you generalize about NE states. T'aint NY, Mass, or Conn, b'god

I applaud the homeowner for defending his home.
I was distressed to read in the article that his home was being thoroughly searched. For what?!!? HE is not the criminal!

Caps. the cops will confiscate and sell underground. They use to do this with drugs, but caps are worth more.

If your going to shoot an intruder. Just wing them so they scream real loud. Then wait before you call 911 for all the relatives to show up. Then get all of them.
That way you don't have to worry about being sued...
Or like that Sheriff in Florida said. Make sure you shoot them enough and if you need more training.
They will help you...I like that guy...

This is what we got:
Cops have no idea who this old man is/was or his son.
Why did those guys choose his/his son's house. Were they after him or his son.
and more importantly: Cops need a search warrant just to go to the front door.
Remember that old guy, true story, at 80 who ran drugs for cartels. He was getting away with it cause he was old.
Need more info before stating the obvious.

I am sure that gun will never be cleaned! Confiscated for "evidence", it will be forever more entombed with all the other stuff there. And all the fouling with it.
