Here is a little story I hope you will enjoy. A fue years back when I lived and built my custom muzzleloaders in Roseburg Or. one of my customers ( He is with the Forum here, he might recall the story) :master: Any way he asked me to ruff sight his flinter in for him. Now as I said I lived in Or. and it was doing its thing, yep rain and a cold rain at that, I went out and started sighting the flinter in :what: yep in the rain now what happens when you try to shoot a flinter in the rain   I know you are right about every thing gets wet it was raining so hard the I would put the primin powder in and befor I could close the frizzen the 4f powder was being washed clean out of the pan :curse: but I was NOT going to let this run me off. As I am doing this a old GOOD ol friend :: I call Big Bubba came by in his PU looked at me and he lost it,  what in the world are you or trying to do ???? I always new gun smiths were a little of corce but feller you take the case.
I muddered some words I can't put in here at him and went on with what I was trying to get done. Will to make a long nutty story short, after big bubba took off still cracking up I did get the rifle sighted in and took the target over to bigg bubbas digings and showed him I also sent the target to the happy feller I made the rifle for. Now you know the rest of the story....Good Day!

Hey, I'm the big bubba he's talking about. Little skinny bubba didn't move to Idaho to get out of the rain in Roseburg, he move far enough away so's he couldn't hear me laughing at him. There are some folks that have sense enough to come in out of the rain.

HEY biggggg bubba, :blah: :blah: I for got you come in to camp some times :shake: Ifen ya keep up with that laughen I will tell the camp bout some of the things ya have done in the pass 40 years that I have known you that was close to my wet flint shooting. :) For them that don't know this cowhand he can do some real things that would make you wonder bout him, just ask him bout his old rifle named "BIG DOG" I had to build him a Red coat sporting rifle so he could go to rondys and not be laughted at   and ask him what he had to pay for it. BUT DONE believe 1/2 of what he has to say!!!! This old big bubba acan sure tell some big ones :yakyak:. glad ta help.
