I enjoy wood turning and making pens is a hobby of mine. I treated this powder measure like a pen project. I bored a wood block the same size as the measure's body and turned the block into a wood sleeve, just as one does in making a pen. I'm not sure if I like the final result. It is just as functional as the original, and just as safe -- no risk of static etc. , and it matches my tee-handled short starter (also a turning project). It just doesn't look right to me.

It's quite unique and looks very nice to me. Plus there's nothing wrong with experimentation. And it's adjustable too.
