Dixie .32 Cal Squirrel Rifle PO-Boy

I have a percussion .32 Caliber DGW Squirrel rifle made in Japan that I picked up a couple of years ago. I'm thinking I would like to pick up a conversion flint lock and touch hole liner so I could change this from percussion to flint. I see that L&R makes the lock and it is in stock from Track of the Wolf. Has anyone done this conversion and is it possible to change it back to percussion down the road if the mood struck? Also, does anyone know offhand what size thread I would need on the touch hole liner. While I like the rifle in percussion, I would prefer flint for many reasons. Thanks, and please let me know what the pitfalls may be should I do this.

I got one some years back and converted it from flint to cap. DGW use to sell a conversion kit. They may still. I can convert back with mine so you should be able to since they sold the kits to go either way.

I converted a Pedersoli .50 flintlock to percussion years ago. The locks were interchangeable and I killed deer with both locks, some with flint and some with percussion.

Thanks to another member, I was able to get ahold of an original DGW flintlock. Took a bit of fitting, but it is now installed and takes about three minutes to change from percussion to flint ignition. I wanted to post back that the drum and the tough hole liner thread size is 1/4x28 for anyone who may be interested. Hopefully, the weather tomorrow will clear enough for me to try it out. Thanks for the help guys.

I've got an original correct flintlock for this gun that is available if you'd want it.
I put the L&R on mine. It required some additional inletting due to the larger mainspring. I also have the mounting bolt for that lock. The L&R lock came with a bolt to fit it. The L&R lock is stouter, larger mainspring and maybe a bit faster but not as much of an improvement as I was expecting.
It should be polished inside and out but works well enough from the package.
It is a little later style lock than the Dixie lock.
If you ever want to rebored that barrel you're going to need to heat it and SLOWLY over a day or two cool it . That is the hardest barrel steel I have ever seen in a Muzzleloader. Played hell cutting a hole big enough to put a.40 cal liner in this one. Cutting rifling in the original barrel was a bridge too far to cross. Just say'n.
