does anyone need to fill a motel room or what to bunk with me....my vacation will be avaible july 20th so thought of taking sat to tue nights off fer my vacation the weekend of the fair so i can be there all weekend....i haven't called any motels yet to see if anything is open that week still....let me know...........bob

I think there are motels right near Cabela's in Hamburg, which is about 20 minutes past Dixon's. You can pick up an in-line at Cabela's while you're there. :crackup:

Bob you better call soon as the motels and hotels get booked up around here at that time of the year. There's a little one right at the I78 and rt737 exit. Other than that one it's back to Foglesville about 10 miles or out to Hamburg about 15 miles. There's only one hotel at Hamburg that I know of. lots back at Foglesville.

Me and Olie are making plans to get over there, provided I don't run into any problems.

Olie is planning on bringing a rifling machine. We're gonna stay with some friends in Nescopeck.

If you do call for reservations, be sure to mention you are going to Dixons and you will usually get a discount at most hotels/motels in that area. :front:

well so far i have blue rocks camp ground at 22.00 bucks per tent per night per site....they have plenty left right now and should have some by then also they told me.............bob

The Dixon's gun faire is comming up quick. How many of ya fellas are gonna be there and do ya want to maybe meet somewhere during the day to put faces n names together? I'll be working at Bob Winters(Knapper) tables the whole weekend. Sure would like to meet a few of ya. Especially those from near southeastern Pa. Maybe some of us could hook up for a weekend scout in the woods someplace if any of ya are into trekking etc.I'll be the short, long haired heavy set fella, wearing glasses dressed in long hunter garb, Bob of course will be dressed Native n his wife is the pretty blonde. He's got beads(the real deal) n gun flints of all sizes, as well as various n sundry other things for sale.Toss out some ideas for meeting if yer a mind to. See ya there YMHS Birdman :hatsoff:
