Bob , what do you mean by the front gate? I've been going to Dixon's for years n never saw a gate anywhere. Do you mean in front of the garage door where the displayed guns n such are. If so , sounds fine to me. I also have another bunch of fellas to meet at noon at the Muzzleloader magazine table so later in the day is kool with me. I'll be working the whole weekend so it really isn't a problem, just don't want to miss meeting some of ya. YMHS Birdman

Robbins nest is a little nicer. They have a pool and such. The pool is nice after the fair as it's almost allways hot and dusty at the fair. Blue Rocks didnt inpress me the only time I stayed there. BJH

I'll be there part of the day both Fri. & Sat. - I'll try to look some of you up. (Maybe we should have "Muzzleloading Forum" name tags complete with our avatar. :haha: )

front gate is a so to speak gargon....never been there don't know what or where everything is just made a suggestion on where to meet ya folks at ....blue rocks is the closest and cheapest so i just need a spot to lay my bones fer the night....i'm sure if a bunch of us meet we'll be busy fer a little while :peace:..........bob

Why don't you just where a name tag that says "press", sorry I mean "bob1961". That and your walmart happy face tee shirt and we should pick you out of any line up. :D
Maybe if one of you all that is going to be there all weekend were to have name tags to hand out, it would be a good chance to meet and coordinate the "Muzzleloader forum" folks. Just a thought. Hope to see some of you on Saturday. Later

already have some iron on trasfers fer my printer fer "bob 1961"....and maybe a scan of a bumper sticker from here below my name ::..................bob

5 pm sounds like a good meeting time. Since there is not really a front gate why don't we all meet at the paved driveway down at the lower end by Dunlap wood products. That is at the front of the lower tent. Thats about as close as we will get to a front gate. :D BJH

All the motels listed on Dixon's website would probably be reasonable (Super 8's are always cheap and offer AAA discounts, too) and they all appear to be about a 15 minute drive :results: to the shop (gunbuilder's fair).

looks like the muzzleloading forum will be well represented at dixons this weekend, hoping everyone has a safe trip in both directions -- to and from .......

looking forward to getting to meet some of you fine folks!
i still think we need buttons or name tags or some way of identifying each other :m2c:
see ya all there on Saturday

all the motels i called from the list were bout 100.00 bucks each....so i grabbed a campsite fer my tent at 22.00 a night....blue rocks bout 3 miles away....just need a spot to lay my bones fer the night....so i went that route....i'll have shirts with "bob 1961" iron-ons on them....did them before i changed my screen name so i'll be bob 1961 fer the weekend..................bob

I entered a local tennis match and won the first round on Monday. Haven't played a second round and should have been beaten and done by Wednesday. I have to play Friday after 4PM and I hope the guy is good so I can make it on Saturday at least. I can't just default. :)

I was giving up my usual trip to a traditional archery shoot at Denton Hill, so bad.

Looks like I'm playing a 20 year old star tomorrow so should be able to make it on Saturday. :)
