Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Plan on being there Friday the 23rd. I know another member, C J Laubach from York is going. He and his father do a demonstration. This will be my first time at the gunmaker's fair. If you haven't been to Cabela's yet, It would be worth your time to visit them since you will be so close(10 miles before Dixon's). Good luck.

Tip Curtis of Frontier Gun Shop, and Ronnie Gentry of Timberwolf Wood Products left here yesterday to get there and get set up. Interesting folks and devoted to the best in M/L products. Tell 'em Ol' TwoShadows said to look them up and say hello!
I was going to go and enter a powder horn, but can't make it due to lack of $. I sent my horn with a friend from Bedford to enter it for me. Have a good time, I hear it is a great show.
I am going up friday nite and staying until close on Saturday. But sorry I am leaving from Lancaster county and then going to South Jersey for Sunday with my wife Audrey. I hope you can make it anyway. Really sorry that one of the respondents can't make it because of money.
god bless.

I'll be there Sturday and spending the night.... If you go be sure to check out Larry Gardner's booth. He's got a rifle he just finished for his wife that has 70 butterflies on it. He'll also be carving on one of my guns for demonstration.
Giving some serious thought to going. Have wanted to go for a number of years, but always had a conflict. They say that every motel and campground is booked up about a year in advance. Would really like to hear Keith Casteel talk about lock tuning.
I'm a fur piece from Oniontown, to the south and east.
slowpoke,
I was there on friday nite and slept in the car and stayed till 4PM on Saturday. Somebody told me "go see the gun over here with all the butterflys. I didn't go immediately so did not see it. Did you se the 4 bore blunderbuss in the entries? One of my friends from Union county built it and entered it. I sure was glad for the sunshine after the rain last week. I really enjoyed the lads shooting their matchlocks and the boys welding the barrel. Got my eyes filled up looking at all the guns, guns, guns. This year I paced myself, took breaks between tents so I didn't get my eyes glazed over and not actually see what I was looking at.
God bless.

you could have stayed with me, I had an extra bed at the Comfort Inn. The butterfly gun was at Larry Gardner's table. I'm good friends with him, in fact, he was carving my gun at his booth on Saturday. I left early this morning, I was tired from running around on Saturday all day. I heard it really poured on Friday, I'm glad I missed it.
Hello Two Shadows, Ronnie and Tip were glad to hear your still kickin. I talked to Ronnie for a bit about that real nice gunmakers stand that he had for sale. He also said that you really are a nice guy. Is that true? :haha: I hope the doc can figure out whats wrong so you can get back at chattin real soon.
I see your from southern Kentucky. Last year we spent a week on Dale Hollow Lake. You any where near to that? Take care.

Ronnie HAS to talk nice about me Zman....he lives in range of my Sharps...I answered you in the private message section ...thought it might in the best interest of the forum to do it that way.
Naw....Tip don't have a website....says he don't have the time or manpower to operate one right. Just got off the phone with him and found out his woman(Mizz Joan) is down with double pneumonia again, so he is running hot and heavy with the backlog of orders from his being gone to the trade fair. I doubt he will ever have a website.....just a catalogue like the one you picked up at the trade fair. Ronnie sold out of his shooting boxes and gunbuilders work stations by noon Saturday....and Tip said he sold 15 "in the white" rifles/smoothbores...as well as all the related parts etc. that he always has in stock. He called to see if I was still in the land of the living....said he remembered talking to you while up there. I think his biggest fear on my account is that I will kick out and ruin his supply of pinto beans and country ham at rendezvous!
CJ, nice pictures. I was at Dixons on Friday. I have since found out that I really missed a lot of stuff. Next year I plan on being there on Saturday also.
