I've been getting out there at least one of the days of the fair for each of the past 5 years. (I don't live too far away so I'm a "regular" at the shop.)

Have you ever been to it or are you planning on going, Michael? Long trek from LA!

I try to get there on the Saturday, cause I shoot at a club event in Vernon NJ on the Sunday of the fair. My Son likes to go too!

One of these days we all should think about some sort of little "Forum get-together" on site. We could meet at the Chuck Wagon and have some goodies!

Was there 2 years ago. It's about a 3 day run up there. Gonna try to make it this year. Wife wants to do a scenic route so I'm suspecting it'll take longer to get there than it did last time.

I'm going to be there on Sat. only about 2 hours from home. mjarx if your coming for the senic trip the Boone homestead is only about 45 mins. from Dixon's if I remember right. I know it's not really that far and worth seeing, when not at Dixons.

Just about the best event in the northeast for muzzleloading enthusiasts, reenactors, crafters, etc. Wouldn't miss it! I go every year!

I put in for vacation on the Friday each year as soon as the calendar at works opens. Been there on a Saturday to busy for me. Friday is my day then I head over to Cabelas for an hour or two before heading home.

Just made my reservations at a local motel! Plan on arriving Friday morning after a six hour drive from near the Canadian border! Wouldn't miss it and will be there through Sunday PM. Absolutely the best of its kind, even if it's the only one of its kind! The best displays of parts purveyors, horners, leather smiths, wood sellers, seminar offerings and demonstrators East of the Missisip. Looking to pick up a new rifle, get some engraving done and a Getz smoothie barrel. Enjoy!!!

Call before you go to the Dan'l Boone Homestead,,, Read that the idiot called Govenor closed it for lack of funds for operation.

Bring your prayer rug! I make it every year. Everybody should make it to the CLA show in Lexington Kentucky at least once in their life. I am going back for seconds this year.

I plan to go again this year, flying out on Thursday, so I'll be there early Friday morning. Can't wait!

Friday is the key for me. Saturday I have to photograph a wedding. Sunday is a club shoot (or not). Friday they'll still have powder & ball, Sunday it gets to be "slim pickins" due to the popularity of the grand event and Chuck only has 3 powder magazines.

Make sure you all stop at Dietrich's Meats, a real Pa-Dutch smokehouse and deli, where they sell everything but the "OINK" :haha:

If the weather is nice,I plan to ride up.The trip is 85 miles round trip and I can do it on 1 gal. Carry 5 gun sleaves in the pack just in case.Looking for a nice 45 or 32 flinter.Hope to see some of you there!
