Yea Claude, that is one of my Favorite Spots to check. :grin: Actually i didn't know about it. I went to the persons profile and there was no Send PM option, so i figured it wasn't working yet. Guess i better check out that Tutorial. :grin:

These both actually came with acorn size & shaped brass base plugs, and while attractive, that was a large dense lump of heavy brass, so I set them aside and replaced them with the smaller/lighter "drawer pull" style base plugs.[url] www.octobercountry.com[/url]

Blahman, it looks like the horn on the left in this photo:
...is set up to hang point down by that thong on the base plug. It also looks like a regular stopper instead of one of those spring-loaded deals. What keeps that thing from falling out and pouring your powder everywhere? Or does that thong also connect near the spout, just out of sight in this photo?

That horn's stopper is just a piece of wood that I soaked in oil after I fit it. That caused the wood to swell a bit and the fit is snug.
There is a thong on it so I can grab it (the thong) quickly. If it's in my pouch, I feel fro the thong. If it's in my jacket pocket, I feel fro the thong and there it is.
Simple as that.

Claude, yes i knew that, so was i with my reply. I tried to reply to a PT from a member tonight, but it said There was a problem loading the page, so i couldn't do it. So i clicked on his user name and tried to PT him, but it seemed to just act like a regular reply to a thread. Later it said i had 4 views. I thought only the person i sent it to could see it. Guess i ain't got this computer thing down too well. Take care.

The Private Topics count your views in the view total. The PTs are nothing more than private forums as far as how they function.
One of the quickest ways to send a PT is to click on the member's name and then choose "Start Private Topic".
In some of the earlier posts it was said to use your big powder horn to prime with. NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!!! If there is a stray spark left in the pan you could set the hole horn off.It's the same as never dump powder down the barrel from your horn, ya need to remember your holding on to a primative grenade useing it like that. Now I know useing a smaller priming horn is a pain but I would rather have an ounce of powder go off in my hand rather then a pound. Ya may lose yer hand but ya might survive the blast. I know its being picky safety wise but I like all my parts just where they are. Just a thought YMHS Birdman
Thanks Claude. I tried that with the member that sent me the PT after i couldn't just send a reply to him. I don't know if he got it or not. Ohh well, no big deal.
