Does anyone produce a matchlock kit?

The Indian made matchlocks are excellent are safe authentic as good or better than most It is one thing the Indian gun makers are really good at is making Matchlocks

I wont even consider anything made in India. Ive had too many other items, tools and such that ended being made in India and all were garbage. When it comes to firearms if its India made, No Thank you.

my remarks on Indian matchlocks is based on real experience.And real knowledge of well over 50years as real gunsmith.I have handled quite a few of them been around custom built ,kit built and several original ones have come though my shop over the years .Ido know what Iam talking about particularly on this subject.There nothing wrong Indian made matchlocks the fit quality is as good or better than the originals and the design the same they are the real deal ,and currently the only matchlocks in production

Who made a fishtail stocked matchlock to be sent to India as a pattern And spent enough time in Indian workshops to have a understanding of how they work.

authentic Indian made English matchlocks english civil war are imported from Military Heritage unvented around $600,The same muskets can be had from Middlesex Village Trading Company in New Hampshire vented ready to go around $700 have several of these love them.they come sear bar or trigger lock I own one of each very very good muskets .I all so have 4 other Indian matchlocks These are full scale muskets longer much heavier with cannon barrel muzzle very rugged very accurate used for Hunting last year killed a tom turkey at 30yards with 4 shot killed a190 lbs buck with A ball around 60 yards a dozen squirrels several rabbit Two pheasants both on the wing who says you can not shoot flying with a matchlock .These muskets are french pattern of matchlocks late 16th early 17 th century they are full scale muskets bulky and very rugged once you master the beast its as good as a Firelock.These muskets are by sold Veteran arms & Loyalist arms ready togo about $650/700 or you can buy unvented from Historical twist around$525.00 .How ever these are not for faint of hart these are large full scale muskets over 10 lbs 75 cal.44 inch barrel over 60 inches long I own an original French pattern matchlock it is almost identical to this model right down the cannon barrel muzzle and line engraving on the stock .I hunt with this repro matchlock musket exclusively really rather fond of it

They are doomed by their ignorance or lack of knowledge on a given subject .They isolate them selves from others by their words they live in a closed world and at the end of the day they talk only to them selves

FWIW my 1st matchlock was an Indian made arm, in 75-cal, and it worked flawlessly! I even proofed it myself with a double ball, double powdah charge load, mic’ing it every inch with micrometers to the 0.0001”, zero issues.

Flint62smoothie, thank you for that dissertation, on the INDIAN WEAPON. a lot of guys puke on them, but they are being sold all of the time, what does that tell you. I have several long arms and also hand guns, that are INDIAN, love shooting them.

Does The rifle shoppe ever answer their phone. I've called them every day this week, trying to get a live body on the other end. Each time I was met with an answering machine. I left a message on Monday, they've not responded. At this point I'm done. It's obvious they don't want my business.

Are their guns made in India? If so then I won't be buying from them. I do not want a made in India firearm. I don't care whether others think they are good firearms. I personally do not trust anything made in India.

Ok, I'm not going to argue the points of India made items any longer. I didn't start this thread to do so. I've made points clear regarding what I think of India made items. I think I should have a right to my opinion, just as others have a right to theirs. This thread has gone off the rails as a result.

if you buy any thing from them, you have to give them your first born. they sure expensive!
