Can anyone tell me if I can find a drop in barrel for a Lyman GPR stock. The barrel would need to be 15/16 ATF and 32 inches long. I would like to find one in a .40 or.45 caliber.

Does such an animal exist or is it just wishing thinking on my part??

Pecatonica River Long Rifle Supply has some leftover Green Mountain barrels in .40 cal 15/16" 38"L 1-48" twist Percussion ...$260.00 that will fit the GPR.
15/16" Octagon barrels fit the T/C 15/16" Hawken Pennsylvania Hunter & Carbine, Cabela's Hawken, Investarms Hawken, Lyman Trade Rifle, Lyman Deerstalker & Carbine, by adding an extra barrel lug it will fit the Lyman Great Plains Rifle. These barrels are completely assembled with the breech plug, lug, rib, ramrod pipes and adjustable sights installed. Grooves are .010 to .012 deep. Barrels are bored and include a new ramrod and nipple.

I copied and pasted the above from their website. They can add the lug for you and the prices for their work is extremely reasonable. Check them out while supplies last.

Or, you can get one made to your specs at The Gun Works Muzzle Loading Emporium for $350....and there are several other places as well.

I shoot a left hand GPR .40 drop-in made by Ed Rayl.
The percussion breech plugs seem to be hard to come by even in right hand. In this case he did use the original barrel's plug for the replacement barrel so finding a breech plug was easy.
Best wishes.
