Am I mistaken but did I somewhere see a type of fancy leather sling that goes 3/4 of the way around the barrels of a side by side without blocking the sight plane down the rib? I really don’t care for the loop type that goes all the way around the barrel.

I have seen hand guards like you describe, but I have never seen one with a sling attachment. Could be modified, however.

I have an older German double with the forward sling swivel mounted to the rib between the barrels. A smith who knows double guns should be able to do something like that.
I think those Han guards was what I was thinking about. Wish they made one with a sling stud.
