I wish the blokes at Pedersoli would make a good repro of a British or American military pistol.

They’ve got a bunch of French ones for the Euro market, and of course their Harper’s Ferry pistol (that is not a very close repro) but maybe something like a Sea Service or other fully stocked martial flintlock pistol would be so cool. And make it quite a close copy, no patent breeches etc. thank you!

Also, keep the roll marks as minimal as possible. Pedersoli sure love to plaster a ton of info on their guns, more than is needed and in a more obnoxious fashion than is required by law.

I’d also love to see a NEW repro percussion revolver, something nobody has tried before. An Adams or Kerr (used heavily by the South during the ACW) would be neat and not the same old same old.

I also think a Pedersoli long land Bess would be nice, they have like 5 charlevilles why not 2 or 3 brown besse’s? It would be a similar to one they have just 5 inches longer.

No it’s not that, need to do what Uberti does and discretely place the serial number under the ramrod etc. and do other things like that. They put WAY too much information on the breech, stuff that is NOT required by law it goes well above and beyond proof marks

Some brave soul actually did make a replica, I bleeve I saw it here a number of years ago, made from parts from the Rifle Shoppe. Parts alone were around $1750, and that was maybe ten years back?
I'm sure a few people here have the necessary skill-set to build one, unless you are one of them?

I'd go for a long range sniper rifle from that alternative universe where percussion caps never happened.

I would like to see an authentic replica of a late-style percussion Northwest gun in 20 gauge, with a proper serpent side plate (unlike the made-up serpent on the Pedersoli Trade Musket). These guns used the regular Enfield-type lock, breech, snail, and musket-sized nipple, but with the traditional flat buttplate, ribbed ramrod ferrules, and oversized trigger and guard of the earlier flintlock NW guns. You would think it would be so easy for the Italian makers to put these in production... They already have the tooling for the Enfield-style components, the butt plate and trigger guard are just formed out of flat stock, and the other parts (side plate and ramrod pipes) are readily available.

This gun would fill a void in the American market (see post #25, above), and should be legal in those countries that allow smoothbores but restrict rifled long guns.

Now, I'll just sit back and wait for Pedersoli and ArmiSport to contact me for further recommendations. Right....
