Dyeing Shooting Pouch

I have a Shooting Pouch that I like the style of real well but it is Black Cowhide and I would prefer Brown. Is there any Dye or anything out there that would overdye Black to Brown?

I think you could go from brown to black, but I think that you probably are stuck with the black! :hmm:

I'm betting you'd have to bleach it at least before recoloring. And with vat-dyed leather, it will still be black below the surface. Bleach has a good potential for damaging leather, so I'd go looking for authorities on the process before trying it.
