What is the earliest blued or browned firearm that you know of? I ask for historical interest and suthenticity. The military arms I know about are mostly "in the bright' into the mid 1800s, but I am aware of a forum post referencing Portuguese instructions on blueing from 1713. So when did blueing or browning start?

Blueing goes back to armor.
Charcoal blueing was done in eighteenth century. We all brown our trade guns but most were blued.
Browning came to be a thing more nineteenth century.
It don’t look right but Hawkens left the shop blued.
