This is the pistol I spoke of earlier. The inlays are, of cousre, sterling. This pistol was made entirely by Taylor, my Bro. No parts purchsed. The barrel was originally off a stray rimfire ctg. rifle, late 18th century & was 1" round to start. If you'd like me to send the Folder(more picutres-parts, etc. to you, mail me at [email protected].

Does your brother make custom guns for a living?

His work is extraordinary...

Yes- sort-of yes-no. A few years ago, he was listed as a Canadian Gun Maker, but with the new laws, etc, he can no longer maintain that status or business. TaylorMade Guns, was the company's name. This picture hsould explain it.

There are LOTS of times I'd have taken you up on that. He is a craftsman for sure. Too nit-picky at times, but, well, his 'best' work does look good. I also have a bunch of pics to scan of a double flint 12 bore shotgun he made. It of coure, has an English Walnut stock - quite striking in appearance and wonderful to shoot. It weights 6 1/2 lbs. yet is comfortable. The breeches, made by him, are patterned after "Knock" breches. The fellow who owns it, also owns the Dag & a slim .40 Longrifle made by Taylor.
: 'Course I also have to scan the pics of the (signed) Long Land Pattern Bess he sometimes shoots trap with for Musketman. It's quite plain, of course, but shootable - HA!
