Title says it all for the most part- early CVA .54 caliber Big Bore Mountain Rifle kit- still in original package/wrap.
Early (SN 0014xxx) kit, conventional wisedom points to a U.S. made barrel and roll marks support that, CVA and SN are all it bears, no European proofs or dates.
Shrink wrap is in place but shows it’s age- I will give it a wrap of shipping wrap to make sure it stays in place while shipped.
NOTE! The kit will be securely packaged/boxed when shipped. The shipping wrap mentioned is simply to ensure the contents of the kit stay in place due to the factory wrap condition!
From what I gather the .54 BBMR’s are quite rare.

Geez I wish I could afford this right now. I kinda collect CVA stuff in its original packaging. I don’t know why

I spoke with a CVA representative at SHOT Show in Las Vegas on Thursday and showed him the photos. He did confirm with the SN being as low as it is and the lack of European proof marks this is a US barreled kit.
He also stated that there were not very many Big Bore rifles produced (in the grand scheme of things) and an unbuilt kit such as this is a unicorn.
