This is a plain Scots Dirk of the type called "Early" or "Primitive." The 12-inch single-edge blade is unengraved and was made from quarter-inch high carbon steel. The handle was made from a piece of a broken Maple gunstock, and the hilt and pommel were made from scratch out of brass bar stock. The only fancy part of this knife is the spacer just behind the hilt, which is carved from a piece of Elk antler. The blade was taken in a trade years ago, and I believe it was hand forged. It has never been sharpened. The knife comes with a welted cowhide scabbard, which is not pictured here. Price is $150 plus $10 s&H, postal money order please.

Needs a photo of the piece adjacent to a piece of paper with your screen name and the date of the photo. Thanks

To answer the questions, tap the picture that has my name and the date in it and there is a picture of the sheath next to the knife. Yes it’s still available, and it’s still $150 plus S&H. Thanks for your interest.
