What is the easiest type of BP kit I could build that is still cheap? (cheap is $400+/-)

I want to try a flinter pistol but I am looking for other options too... :thanks:

Lyman Great Plains Rifle.... kits from Midsouth starting at $271 for .50 percussion...

The easiest and probably the best shooter, probably not the best looking, is the Underhammer rifle.
You can't beat them for ease, longevity, and quality.
With a pewter nose cap and a cresent but plate, you can have a mighty fine, and period correct rifle.

Best Regards

check the prices at wal-mart for the GPR.
Go to the sporting goods dept and ask for the catalog..
They will special order if for you and you don't have to pay shipping.
i don't remember what they are currently are.
Plus they give a 10% employee disscount. If you know any one that works for them, have them pick it up.. :hmm:

Thanks guys!

staticXD, You named the pistol I was wanting (or kit, if you want to get technichal)We went through this before. :RO:

Any more you guys know of? I prefer the look of flintlocks, they just seem so much more "rustic".
