Eastern Maine Shooting Lube?

Anyone use this stuff? Curious to how it is compared to other patch lubes before I purchase it.

I generally lump all wet lube into the same category as spit or windex. My rifles shoot the same with all of them with the exception that spit is free and windex runs a close second. For hunting or leaving the gun loaded for days or weeks it probably would be better if it’s based on some type of oil that doesn’t dry out. During hunting season I just use a smear of mink oil instead of spit. POI difference is minimal in hunting scenarios.

I would only use a liquid lube for target work, where there'll be a lot of repeated shooting - and not for hunting, where the gun may go a longer time between shots ( opening the possibility of the lube getting into the powder).

And for general rounball shooting, nothing beats cutting oil and water. A little blue bottle of Napa cutting oil will last years.

Part of the fun of black powder shooting is playing the mad alchemist making up lube. I make my own.
