I owe everyone an apology. When I posted yesterday I was having a brain fart moment. I posted a photo of the wrong username. This is the only forum on which I use Lakeman. At least I got the date correct. Anyway, I'm looking for a lefty smooth bore in 20 ga/.62 cal. A Centermark would be ideal as I owned one years ago but let someone buy it off me. Regardless, I like the French drooping butt design. I have a couple items to offer in trade. I have a North Star West Chief Grade shorty in 20 ga that is a great shooter but right-handed. As a side note, it could be an Officer Model instead of a Chief. I base that on the fact that the sideplate isn't the serpent I would expect on a Chief Model. LOP is 13 1/2". Barrel length 29". I'm attaching some photos and will send you more if you have something to trade that I'm interested in. Depending on relative value of your gun vs mine I also have a .45 cal. flintlock pistol that shoots well but whoever built it lacked something in skill. The ramrod channel was drilled at enough of an angle that it exited the stock just behind the rear ramrod thimble. Just a small gap but visible. The stock is curly ash. Barrel needs to have a new crown cut. Lock is a Davis and sparks very well. Rear sight is canted slightly to the left. The pistol shoots well as-is and could have its shortcomings corrected. I intended to do the work but going blind in my right eye and old age shaky hands say it will never happen. So let me know if you have the lefty I'm looking for and we can exchange pics and details.
