My uncle from Cal.came to visit me yesterday which was my day to go shoot. I kidded him that I gave up a day at the range just visit with him. He asked me what I was shooting and I told him black powder. He was curious as to the ins and outs of shooting black powder and wanted to see my rifles which I had in the back of the pickup. He said he had some friends on the west coast that shot but had never really been around the guns. Having only taken up muzzleloading myself last year I was glad he didn't get too techinical so I had answers for all his questions (thankfully). I proceeded to show him how to load and clean, ect. which he found very interesting. He took my favorite rifle in to show my aunt. He told her if she was thinking about a Christmas gift he wanted a rifle just like the one he was holding. On my way home from my mother's it occurred to me that my uncle who had taken me hunting as a small boy and carted me off with him to the drag races had just listen to me with interest as I "educated" him about my newly found passion. I am sure a smile came across my face as I drove home.

:applause: Time to thank him for all the hunts and time that he spent on your youth - go buy him the rifle! I thank my family every day for my DRUG PROBLEM. They drug me everwhere - church, school, spoting events, family dinners, scouts, ect. Dan

Well put Strawstalker! I had the meanest parents in the world, for which I am eternally grateful. Mom is gone and Dad is getting feeble but thank the good Lord above they didn't let me do the things I wanted.

without trying to set a political agenda, i'd much rather see my daughters making a mess in my shop than staring at the boob tube... as the bumper sticker says, 'take your kid hunting, so you won't have to go hunting for your kid.'
