Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.

Yes/No/Maybe The 750 watt burner is juat a little on the light side if you try to use a pot that is too big or too full. The pot fitting the burner is the most important part of the combination. I have an old 1000 watt and steel pan that fits perfectly. The only thing that I would consider a problem is that it is really easy to get too much weight in it.

I tried that a few years ago when i first started casting. It worked great for a while.Eventually the element in the burner got to where it wouldn't keep the mix melted.
I would suggest buying one of the Lee production pots instead. They are not that expensive and if you decide to quit casting you can always sell it over Ebay.Otherwise a gas campstove would work too.
The best thing I found for melting the lead is Menard's which is like a Lowe's or other home builder supply place was selling the propane burner Turkey Cookers with pot and all the other trimmings one year for $19.95. Well I took an old burner grate off a gas stove from the junk I have laying around and wired that to the stand. That holds my lead pot and that adjustable propane burner is really nice for keeping the melting lead at a constant heat.
Plus you can always break out the cooker and make an excellent turkey on the thing....
Mine works great. I just used it to melt pewter for a nose cap. The adjustment comes in handy to get the temp right. It probably won't take alot of use, but for me it works fine. :imo:
