When the quality of GOEX nosedived in 1997 after the move to Minden LA I used Elephant powder which worked very well for me in a slug rifle. I had to use more of it (220 grains instead of 160 grains) but accuracy was excellent. I clean between shots so "dirty" fouling rmeant little to me, though I don't remember it being particularly troublesome. Still have some of it I will likely use next year.
 
I have 3 cans plus an empty. 5f 4f and 3f. Still am using the 4f for priming
