I own a really nice 32 caliber TC Seneca that I target shoot and Squirrel hunt a lot with. I would like to find someone to do some engraving on the patch box (squirrel themed) to personalize it a little. Any suggestions does not have to be extremely elaborate but want it to look nice.

Something like this.

Wow really nice I was thinking of a sitting squirrel on the Patch box and a running squirrel on the trigger guard

I did the engraving on those three Senecas as practice when I was starting to engrave. I also did three TC Hawkins....long time ago now...:)

They are amazing. My Seneca 32 is a very special gun to me thats why I would like to give it a little personalization.

Yes, I’ve seen many of your posts and they are uniformly high quality work. For the sake of discussion what would be the price range to do one like the ones shown on this thread? My taste is much more modest but I have little experience with prices for skilled labor. Others could be interested as well and might wonder too.

Phil,

It depends a lot on the amount and complexity of the desired engraving but I usually quote by individual parts (i.e. lock, trigger guard, butt plate, thumb piece, etc. Medium level engraving on a trigger guard might run $175. Same for a lock or a cap box like the ones pictured above. A side plate might be $75. A patch box like the one below might run $300 to $400. Of course, simpler is less expensive.

Hope this helps.
