Examples of latter-day European / western matchlocks

The Royal Armouries in Leeds has some good examples from the latter days of the matchlocks service life in the western world (i.e. the close of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century). Below are two similar pieces from ca. 1690, both made by a Dutch manufacturer and imported to England for military service:

Somewhere I read is an example of a Mexican matchlock dated 1844 . Not sure where I saw it, in some book maybe.

I can confirm this Rudyard fellow doe's indeed make all sorts of these items I believe he's sold his soul to Beezalbub to improuve them,
Sounds like an awfull cad to me but takes all sorts .

The Mexican M lock is on one of my books could find & get a pic via Private E.( Ime pretty hopeless with the E gajetry but quite good with steam engines must be wired wrong. R )

What post is that? Actually not sure I have those photos. I do have some of guns and knives

Cant recall guns with knives . Dirks maybe ? The flask stuff would go under ' Bought a powder flask from an antigue shop'. Still running .
The flask pics where sent or taken at the same time they illustrated many stag & horns & horn flasks (having charger tops to them ) but one brass top leather coverered flask had' Sykes Patent' stamped on it many times as it was a test top when we where developing repro flasks in Cawnpore in the 70 s thusly its the only one ever so made .I used to stock flask's & separate tops but non left now .( They call it Kanpur these days but to me its Cawnpore same as Bombay ,Madras & Calcutta are to me, same as Roadesia is still Roadesia ), I was there before they altered it you see.
