Hmmmm :hmm: Much too thin to be used for rifle ball patching but about perfect "patching" for a good looking woman. :haha:

Ok, i can see how inner tree bark would work, but how would one patch with rope?
 
Take a 2" piece of rope and separate the strands...Lube and roll into a ball, Then flatten by stretching and folding.. similar to working pizza dough. Once you have a uniform size and appropriate thickness, you load it like a normal patch. Upon starting, if the patch is to large you cut it like normal.
The one caveat is the you place a ball of the rope tow on top of the powder charge first to act as a wad and gas seal.

It takes a lot longer to explain than it does to do it...

The same process is used for inner bark.
