The talk about strange foods brought back a memory for me.

At least 10 years ago I remember reading about a company that sold farm raised wild game, including raccoon, possum, rabbit, and woodchuck.

They would deliver you a cleaned and frozen animal to you ready for cooking.

As I recall they targeted a market of people who lived in cities but had family recipes from the country and wanted to try them.

I long ago lost their contact information. If any one knows of a company that sells wild game for the table let me know.

Thanks,
Mark C. Foster

Gotta find some gopher gravy and pickled owl eggs to go with that possum!

This place has a good rep. and is used by many restaurants and chefs...They're in Texas

Another one is exoticmeats.com you'll find stuff there that you may not want to eat :shocked2:

Make sure you know what you're buying. I ordered some crawdads once on-line and got some over-salted manure from Vietnam. :barf:

Whenever buying perishables by mail order it's the shipping that costs the most. Best to buy a large order...maybe combine orders with a buddy or neighbor.

Let me know when supper's ready...I'll bring the beer! :)

Just wanted to say thanks to those that provided the two sites for farm raised wild game. It's always enjoyable looking over different sites and being able to provide them to others should you get the chance.
