Well I finally got the time off to go up to Kerrville on 4th of July weekend, which worked out as Dad's birthday was on the 6th, and boy did he love it. He had no sooner got it out of the box than he looked up at me and said "did you bring stuff to shoot out of it or do we need to go get some right now?" When I told him the balls were in the truck and the powder was in my bag he was on his feet and out the door looking for a target. The thing is a blast to shoot with 20g fff and for him it was pretty much dead on accurate. My Mom's dad (who got me into this muzzle loading mess in the first place) came over to shoot it as well and he loved it. They both shot way better than me. I guess I better stick to my rifle unless I'm trying to get those dang Comanche's to leave my horse and my scalp right where they are. Dad, being used to modern firearms said "the good thing is by the time you miss they'll be close enough for you to brain 'em with this thing, and it's heavy enough to do the trick."
