Howdy folks:
I just looked over my old beaver skin hat and realized that the (2) 40+ year old fake Eagle feathers have seen better days, so it's time to "upgrade" them. :thumb:
Does anyone here have any laying around that they want to rid themselves of? I looked online and NO WAY am I paying the crazy prices the con artists want for them there.
I'm happy to buy from one of our members. I'd rather see the money go to someone here than to those Hucksters.
Thank you for any assistance. Please PM me if you do have any for sale. They don't HAVE to be Faux Eagle feathers, Turkey flights would work. I just need to swap out my (2) 40 year old moth ridden ones for 2 new ones. Can't be Two Feathers without TWO feathers?!!! :D
God bless and thank you:

Color me naive or just miss informed, but in some states aren't Native Americans the only ones allowed to own, wear, buy, sell eagle feathers, even faux eagle feathers? Apologies, if I'm wrong. but have been informed thusly, by Native Americans.

Faux Eagle Feathers are fine to sell or posses, places like Crazy Crow sell them.

Actual Eagle feathers are protected under two federal laws, however, the Fish and Wildlife Service works with native Americans to accommodate special (religious) needs. I won't go into all the details on that, but you can easily find the full sources online.

Hi, it's been awhile. I'm 75% Navajo, so I may be OK there even though fake are just fine.

I once bought a couple pretty white feathers at a ronny and put them on my hat. A bit later I got a tap on my shoulder. The guy who tapped me said he was a Federal wildlife officer but off duty. He said the feathers were from a protected snowy owl and I should get rid of them. I took back to the vendor and got a refund. Don't know if the vendor changed his address to j-a-i-l. o_O

Here ya go, Etsy:

Bald Eagle Feathers - Etsy

I used to teach feather crafts to scouts and included a block on what feathers to never ever pick up. Pictures always help and this resource from the Fish & Wildlife service turned out to be the best comparative tool I could find. Also includes pics of some goose and hawk feathers and the dyed tip white turkey feathers sold in craft stores and online.

I hope y'all enjoy the pics as much as the scouts did!
