Favorite 45 caliber loading?

Out of my .45 Tingle 60 grains of OE FFF, a .437 ball spit patched with .018 ticking. Very accurate off the bench, but the rifle really shines offhand, wish I could shoot it to it's potential.

Interesting Will. I have a Tingle and its bore is tight for a 45. Seems that yours may run the same.

I use a .440 ball with a .015 spit patch and 60 grn's of Goex 3f in my Tingle. This has been a great combo for me and am able to shoot very tight groups at 50 yards consistently.

a well lubed maxi-ball over 60gr equivalent of pyrodex RS. stacks'em on top of each other at 60yds.

I`m finding my Hawken likes a .440 ball with a cotton patch from my old parjarms lubed with my wifes antiwinkel cream and 50gr of fffg, on the money at 50ms, and there's on wrinkle's on my balls. :rotf: Homebrew.357.
