Greetings.

I was able to obtain one of these fine underhammer pistols. It seems I read somewhere that these have a "patent breech", that is a breech area of a different size than the barrel. Is anyone aware of this? And, if so, what is the diameter of that area? Looking to be able to clean it properly. Thanks.

You should be able to look down the barrel with a flashlight and see if it does or not. To clean them I use a patch wrapped around a much smaller than bore size bronze brush.
