Jason:
You've been very busy as of late by the looks of all that gear you made. All very nice looking items. Specially like the knives in pics 5 & 6. Very nice work.

snagg

yes legion it is a double pouch fully lined including the flap the front and back pockets are exactly the same by far one of the hardest pouch styles ive tried the picture below it is a view of the front of the pouch

That bag was made from really lightweight pig skin. I'm not sure of the ounce size of it but if I had to guess around 2 to 3 ounces. We sewed up the first one with just leather and it seemed really flimsy and soft, so we took it apart and lined it with pillow ticking and have lined others also. It seems with the pillow ticking to be a little stiffer and more durable.

jasontn,
Great looking work!!! I really like that
second knife. :hatsoff:
snake-eyes

thanks for the compliments guys. i like those little knives as well. cant take credit for making them tho they are all oldies i picked up and reshaped the blades on.sometimes a guy can get em at a steal, you just have to put some work in em to make them servicable. its been one of them things thats growed on me re working old knives into workable gear. my hopes are to learn some as i go and make enuff or trade them for the things i cant do myself.

Tell me Jason,
what's the story behind the rounded points on the knives? I've seen a lot here on this site, are they some period styled knife or what?
I've never seen a blade that shape used or even sold in Australia.
Interesting. :hmm:
Smokey.

those 3 came looking like a modern butter or tale knifr completely round. i cut them down bout 2 inches and used a skinning knife i have as a template to reshape the tip of the blade to make them a bit more versititle as a patch knife neck knife and now with a good skinner tip
