Finally my Crockett is at the gunsmith about to get drilled and tapped. I went with a skinner lo pro sight bought an extra medium aperture for it. I went this route as I bought a Mable's bullseye sight but I butchered the dovetail. (Lessons learned) I put the original back in but it wouldn't stay put. I was going to buy the fully adjustable one but I wanted simple. I wasn't sure where on the barrel I wanted it so I went about 3 inches or so in front of the nipple. I thought about closer to the tang but since I'm far sighted and do use single vision glasses I figured a little farther forward since my open sighted muzzleloaders sights are forward a few inches with the exception of my Lyman 57 sml sights. Curious to here thoughts on this

I have mounted "low Pro's" on two Renegades. I use the screw in the breech plug that was meant for a scope mount. I like the peep as close as possible to my eye, and with this mounting it is only about 2" away.

This is where I had my skinner mounted I wanted it more forward than the peeps on my other rifles
