I have now my first “traditional” BP pistol aside from my 1851 Navy revolver. It’s legal for, and seems built for both national, and international competitive events.

It’s an Armi Sport Le Page percussion in 45 caliber. I’ll be doing some load testing for it in the future to find out what it likes to shoot best. I also want to build a pistol stand/box to hold the gun upright for loading/cleaning and store shooting supplies in. The box I have now won’t fit this sort of gun. I’m definitely looking forward to shooting this thing. The trigger is sweet.

Very nice Napoleon Le page Jason. Look forward to seeing you compete in the traditional divisions. Just hope that`s not one of those from when they were having them made in China. When you remove the but cap it`s a sure giveaway when a pair of chopstix fall out...c

much like that Colt you sold me 😂

I have a LePage in flint. Pedersoli recommends a .435 ball and a .010 patch over 24 grains of 3F. I tried that and it took a hammer to drive the ball down. I've gone to .433 ball and a .010 spit patch over 20 grains of 3F. Its still hard to load, but the gun shoots better than I do.
