Hello, been a long time.

There is a long story leading up to my question.

I'm searching for a new 62 ca, tapered and rifled octagon (1 1/8 diameter at the butt and 13/16 or 7/8 at the tip. I'd like to get a 40 inch barrel, but I might have to settle for a 36 inch-er.

I've searched all over the internet, but can't find it. Any ideas? Does anyone make one-off custom barrels?

There are a number of custom barrel makers, all of whom are running 6-36 months behind. Charles Burton, Bobby Hoyt, and Ed Rayl would be the first ones I'd contact. Another alternative is to have one of those guys cut off and turn a .62 swamped octagon Rice barrel in D weight which might be in stock.
