Yup! Several coats of aerosol B/C Tru-Oil, followed by 2 more coats of Tru-Oil applied with a brush. The original NW guns were finished with brown varnish and were supposedly quite shiny (also a quick, cheap finish to apply back then compared to a more labor-intensive oil finish).
