If he was close enough that a full load of #5's pushed by 70 grs only hit his head, I'm glad you kind of covered it up! :grin: Shot a rabbit once at about 5 ft with 50 grs and load of #6's. It wasn't pretty. :shake:

Found # 5 hard lead shot to work well on other small game while shooting bp.
What's those brown crunchy things on the ground? :grin:.Bet it makes for a challenging sneak hunt.
Love the metal finish on your lock and barrel.
Is that a walnut stock?
 
I hunt squirrels with same 70gr 2f and #5 shot load as you. It's a great load for small game. Oddly enough I also have the same Lott lock on my smooth bore. I have knocked many a squirrel out of cypress trees with that gun. I actually enjoy it more than deer hunting.
