Hello all,

This is the deer I bagged on opening day with my 50 PRB muzzleloader! It is the largest buck I have ever shot so far in my hunting experences. It just took only one shot, off hand at 50 yards to take this beauty...no meat was ruined either!

Thanks for looking! :hatsoff:

Nice.

What load were you using?

Dadof8

70 grains of swiss black powder, felt wonderwad, 0.012" cotton material lubed with mink oil and a Speer .490 round ball(no time to cast my own this year). Works every time!

Must be an Infantryman deer. First time I have seen one low crawl...

Someone has got to teach him that those are not a gun rack though....

Nice!

That is a beautiful deer. And a nice looking rifle. I have always said that a roundball is one of the best projectives out there.

I was hunting with my .62 caliber smoothbore but the deer were not cooperating...

Congratulations and nice shooting.

Hmmm....that is the starngest whitetail I have ever seen :hmm: The PRB does it everytime. I cannot wait for my chance this december

The deer is actually a mule deer...the rear tine just didn't fork yet. :winking:
