first deer with prb

finally used a prb to kill a deer. she was at about 35 yards facin me. not the ideal shot but she was about to bust me. only got one lung so she went a ways. it felt good to do it the old fashion way. i used a t/c new englander .50 cal. happy huntin.

It does feel good to take a Deer with a round ball, even better when you cast it yourself. I have shot whitetails from 12 feet to 110 yards with a round ball from a .50 cal. Good for you, and may many more be in your future.

Congrats on your kill!I hunt with A New Englander with Round Balls too.I found 90 to 100 grains of 3f works great in mine.Last year was my first buck with a PRBand I'm hoping to get one this yeaR too. eace:
