Congratulations! I just figured out, while I'm busy this Saturday, I'm off for MLK Day on Monday and... it's the last day of flintlock in PA! Bonus! One more day to try and bag a deer this year!

Congrats on getting your first deer with a flinter. (I now have to wait til next year to try again ... sigh) And a nice doe at 140 pounds is nice indeed! A nice doe down here on the coast would be about 90 pounds.

I am happy for you. That’s a very good feeling summed up in your photo here. You are in good company, there’s no shame in missing. For a lot of flintlock hunters, we see a ton of high tails through clouds of smoke before we finally put a tag on one.
