I just fired my oldest smoothbore with 110 grains of powder and a military load of buck & ball at a 5 gallon plastic bucket at 45 yards. Wont be using this bucket anymore! 69 cal. ball and 3 buckshot made war hell!

Please give the particulars. Bore size, buckshot size, powder charge and how you loaded the ball and buck.

Was the ball patched and what order did you load them?

All loads are put up in military paper cartridges-just as in Civil war. All my weapons are real except a .44 Remington and colt and a .50 Kentucky.

My fingers don't work real good anymore- and hurt!
I am a purest -I cast most of my rounds and make (ALL) my powder. I have 2 Sniders .577, 1 Springfield .58, 1 Brunswick .69, .36 Spiller & Bur, .41 & 20 gage LeMat. Colts, Remingtons, a 4 inch bore Howitzer- 1.75 inch Howitzer and a home made Coehorn mortar that's a blast. It's all fun until you have to cleanthem.

my wife is gonna try to teach me photos tomorrow. if you have iphone I can send you pictures- so far that's the only way I know ?!?!

By the way! I purchased all my B/P weapons and parts using pay pal, ebay, and bill me later except one Snider Enfield. If you need antique or reproduction parts, that's a great place to start. Don't believe the folks when the tell you can't use ebay for guns. Try it for yourself and see.

Don't have any 'weapons', but I've got a passel of firearms. While all are also 'real' and capable of meting out death and destruction, most of them aren't very old.
