Wow! Does anybody know why
there seems to be a LARGE disparity in the selling price of the GPR?? I have seen prices from $355 to $499!

I've pondered this as well. My guess is that MidSouth gets some kind of "deal" on them.

At any rate, it's a good rifle at any resonable price. In fact, the only gripe I have with mine is that it's so dang accurate with heavy powder charges that I blow through a pound of powder quick!

Have you looked at Midsouth Shooters supply? http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/

They have GPR for between $350 and $375 I think. That's the cheapest I've seen.

October Country or the Leatherman have some good bags, check them out. Their links are in the ML links section. Or, make you own. It's a fun learning experience. Lots of info here about how to do it.

You can also check Tandy Leather. Their bag comes in kit form and is very easy to put together. It's a simple leather bag with one pocket, fringe and an adjustable strap. I think it's a good looking bag and more than reasonable in price. I've had mine for 25 years and still use it. Just another source that most don't think about.

Buy a used one in good shape - TC,CVA,Lyman etc....
TC's can be had for under 200 sometimes and shoot it til you
find out if your gonna stick with it and your personal tastes.
Then when your hooked - you get your nice one.
