I know this a long shot here . But. Would some one have a kibler first run type Southern mountain rifle kit. Walnut stock. In 40. This would be a chambers lock and 46” rice barrel. Willing to go up to 1000$ shipped to me. I plan to build it full dress southern rifle. Aged a bit Thank. Rick.

Don't give up. I just picked up a kit like you want, except in 45 cal with a beautiful cherry stock. Got it for just over $1000. They are out there.

The best I can do for you, only 5 calibers larger. I see on MGO (Michigan Gun Owners) Forum in the long gun marketplace section someone in Gaylord, MI has a brand new Kibler SMR 45 cal kit in the shipping crate with extra fancy maple for $1100 plus shipping.

From his ad. "For sale is a brand new, in the box Kibler .45 caliber flintlock Southern Mountain Rifle kit. I never opened the box. It is as shipped from Kibler. The wood is extra fancy (the highest grade Kiblers offers) maple. And trust me, the stock will be stunning when finished."
This is a kit. Brand new in the box. I also have the appropriate (traditional) stock finishes and metal aging/finishing materials.
